Welcome to the final installment of our Christmas Guides for 2024. Thank you so much for supporting this space again this year. We adore curating the best of the best to gift your loved ones and inspire you to share space and time with them in the most chic and sophisticated ways you can.
A Festive Feast
Set the table: One of our favourite things about Christmas is having our family and friends celebrating around the dining table. Here are some of our favourite things to make it special.
Tablecloth:
A good Christmas table always starts with a beautiful table cloth. Lilli has this classic white one.
We also love this from zara home (they ship to AU now!)
Placemats:
We love these scalloped edge placemats for Christmas and beyond.
Cutlery sets:
A classic 56 piece cutlery set is the way to our hearts every day (also love this and this)
For something more modern and chic we love anything sabre.
Napkins:
Our fave napkins. But you must iron for them to look stun!
Also love a vintage find from etsy, also these and this table runner.
Servewear:
We love these scalloped plates for serving and to bring some texture to the table. They also match perfectly with the placemats!
This jug is a dream!
We’re totally obsessed with these steel champagne and cocktail glasses!
For the salt. The cutest way to cook with and serve it!
Decor:
We are loving this ceramic vase to for our fresh blooms on Christmas.
The most adorable lemon squeezers we have ever seen!
We all need a Loewe candle on our Christmas table!
Food: When we think about Christmas, it’s not just the gifting that gets us excited. It’s of course, planning and prepping a delicious menu. Aside from the usual suspects (glazed ham, turkey etc) we have a few favourite recipes worth trying this year.
The Main Event:
It isn’t Christmas without a Christmas Ham. We love this recipe for a glazed ham!
If you are having an Australian Christmas, you’ll know that seafood is often on the menu. Emily’s family had this Maple Sticky Glazed Salmon at a recent early Christmas and it was incredible!
Another seafood recipe because we cannot help ourselves in Australia. We are loving this fig leaf wrapped fish.
Emily’s family has been making these hassleback potatoes for years and they are amazing!
Sip:
A Hugo spritz: Lilli served these at her 30th a couple years ago and they have been a mainstay since. A refreshing change from the ever popular Aperol spritz but sligthly tangier and milder in flavour.
For Dessert:
A crispy, crunchy, rustic pavlova (strictly berry toppings if you’re Lilli and chuck on some kiwi and mango if you’re Emily).
If you’re looking for a little fancier pavlova that will get everyone talking, we love this pavlova bombe alaska from Sian Regrave for Natalie Marie Jewellery.
A warm sticky date with butterscoth sauce and cream is a go to in Lilli’s family.
We want to try this Rhubarb galette this year too. Athena always crafts the most perfect desserts.
OK BYE! MERRY CHRISTMAS. HAPPY HOLIDAYS ETC!
